«And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim: / The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan: / The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: / The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife: / Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam: / The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars: / Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim: / Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife: / Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth: / Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar: / Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin: / Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.»

«And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities: / And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.»

«And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.»

«For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.»

«And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, Peradventure ye dwell among us; and how shall we make a league with you? / And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye? / And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of the LORD thy God: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt, / And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.»

«(There are eleven days' journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.) / And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them; / After he had slain Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt in Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, which dwelt at Astaroth in Edrei: / On this side Jordan, in the land of Moab, began Moses to declare this law, saying, / The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: / Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.»

«And they turned and went up by the way of Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan went out against them, he, and all his people, to the battle at Edrei.»

«And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; / (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Shenir;) / All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salchah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.»

«And when ye came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we smote them: / And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.»

«Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan.»
