Abstract
This study was designed to look at the effects of gender and the number of bystanders on helping behavior. There were 128 participants in this study, compromising of students, faculty and also the general public in the area of Lexington, KY. The experiment was to drop pencils in an elevator when the correct number of bystanders were present to see who helped and who did not. The results
