The extent of this change could in theory have gone on infinitely if they had chosen to keep this scheme after Stalin's leadership, as school children could have gone on learning solely science and technology and continually develop ideas about how to improve the country. So Stalin did make many large scale changes during the 1930's some with immediate effect, others with more long term gains.
