The mind and body has been a major topic debated by philosophers over the past centuries. Philosophers have fervently tried to uncover the truth behind the distinction between the mind and the body. But even with the extensive amount of arguing and thinking put into this problem, it is still seemingly debatable. …showed last 75 words of 1135 total…these two philosophers we see how the mind/body argument continues to be a difficult and controversial topic. Descartes points out the distinction between mind and body, while Spinoza assess' their unity. I found Descartes argument for dualism more plausible, but since philosophers have spent years arguing over the mind/body relation, I believe they will quite possibly remain to do so because of the difficulty in trying to understand the concept of the mind.
