has used some of the objects cleverly to symbolise something. She makes the event of Koro walking towards the whales into a visual metaphor. It shows Koro blindly walking into the darkness. I think Niki Caro is trying to say that he was blinded by his own stubbornness trying to find another leader when one is right in front of him. She has used these techniques extremely well, making it into a very interesting film.
