"The Storm" vs "Christ on the Sea of Galilee"
In comparing the two paintings, Watteau's "The Storm" and Delacroix's "Christ on the Sea of Galilee", it is easy to see the differences within the two paintings and determine which one is more of a Romantic work and which one is more of a Neo-classical work. …showed last 75 words of 755 total…the Romantic style are exactly the opposite of the characteristics of the Neo-classical style. Many artists of the eighteenth century often did both Romantic and Neo-classical paintings, however, in my opinion, the true masters of those perspective styles were the ones that worked solely in one individual style. If I had to choose a favorite out of the two styles, I would have to say that I prefer the Romantic style to the Neo-classical style.
