One moment was when a slave named Joseph Cinque in 1839 gathered up more slaves and killed there captain and took over the ship that was called Amistad. They tried o get away but later was captured and tried for murder. Many whites argued that they where black and they did not have rights and should be killed. But they were given a trial and acquitted of all charges.
