Saxton Pope, took a quick liking to Ishi. Ishi got a job at the museum as a janitor and demonstrating arrow making, fire building, and other Yahi techniques. In 1916 Ishi died of tuberculosis.
<Tab/>Through Ishi I learned that the Native Americans had many difficulties because of settlers. The settlers stole their land, killed them, wiped out entire civilizations, forced them off their homelands, and committed other brutal acts of violence.
