Genetic Problems
Due to the way that much of an individuals immune response is passed on from their parents it is often the case that immune response disorders run throughout a family. An example of which is the total IgE level which is determined genetically. For this reason, the accurate identification of a problematic immune response in a parent can be used to predict and sometimes prevent the disorder in subsequent generations.
