because the programmes are too modern and not the same as they were when the first TV set was premiered.
The best thing about television for me is the comedy programmes especially the home grown ones like "Chewin' the fat", "Rab.C.Nesbit" and "Only an excuse." Lastly I would like to sum up by saying that it provides entertainment on rainy days and without it many people would be bored out of their minds!
