Today there are more and more teenagers working in the workplace. The pressure for a teenager to work is great. Much of it is peer pressure to have a little bit of freedom and independence, and to have their own spending money. The concern we have is when the part-time work becomes the primary focus. out on the use of drugs and alcohol, and it causes them to form cynical attitudes against work itself. Instead, there are other ways of earning money and going to school such as loans and the co-op program. These will help reduce some of the stress put on them by having to work and go to school at the same time. This is obviously the route students should take when going to school and working.
