The third time she wasn't so lucky she gassed her self and she died, it was on February 1963. Nearly 20 years later and her poems won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. So you could say she was the average dedicated housewife of the 1960's that had superficiality of the society and the constraints placed upon women.
