As the common saying goes, "Looks can be deceiving". People have gotten accustomed to judging someone from their first impression. People are different than what they seem and all must take that into consideration before judging someone. Looks are not everything in life, personality is also a very important thing that people must know before judging someone.

can be deceiving", and society has totally overlooked this saying by judging people off of their first glimpse. Coming from an ethnic background, I can say that growing up with stereotypes is difficult and sometimes overwhelming. Although I know that I have overcome these stereotypes and gained the respect of my peers, there are some people who still have not. We, as a society must ensure them a safe and easy childhood and adolescent stage.
