poverty can be lowered in the U.S. Some are existing programs that work well and shouldn't be shut down because of low budget. Some are ideas worth thinking about even though it has its flaws. Poverty is a serious matter and maybe we can never get rid of it, but at least we can try to lower it as much as possible by instituting programs that actually help and improving present programs and conditions.
