So can one argue that globalization has further decreased the chance of "freedom of speech" since the ruling iron fist which has patterned Chinese history for centuries is increasing its influence on to the population, actively by censorship and passively by even forbidding public demonstrations. On the other hand people are now allowed to travel beyond Chinas' borders increasing cultural exchanges and understanding.
