Before even going through this report, I had an idea of what the outcome might be. Having family members working in night shifts, I have observed this reduction in sleep myself. I personally believe that these family members were unable to sleep during the daytime because of the noise and their daytime responsibilities. The results of this research article strengthened my understanding of sleep reduction in night-shift workers.
