However, if they had given their attention to what their subjects had to say about the church, rebellion and chaos would not have broken out. Then again, if they hadn't opposed them either, Puritans would not have colonized in the Americas and established the United States. Obviously, many things would have changed had it not been for James' and Charles' reigns.
