In 1960 Alfred Hitchcock created a film so daring and different it is still remembered even today. Other famous films of the time being "My Fair Lady" and "The Sound Of Music", although popular these films were idealistic and picturesque. Modern audiences are used to such films as Scream, and Halloween H20, which not only differ in styles of scripting but also have a lot more violence, sex, drugs and gore, which is enhanced by modern technology such as computer aided graphics. Despite the dreams of Gus Van Sant, I believe, his version cannot be compared to the quality and skill used by Hitchcock in the 1960 version of psycho.
