Frederick Douglas was one of the major players in the abolishment of slavery and will not be forgotten for his participation. His famous speech "The Hypocrisy of American Slavery" continues to be quoted in material today. If Douglas was alive today he would be shocked to know that enslavement of people is still an active practice, one he fought so hard to end.
