The technological advances of the mass media, especially those of the electronic media, are expanding the outlets available to propagandists and are likely to have a significant impact on propaganda efforts in the future. As long as everyone understands the different methods of publicity we will be on guard simply by remembering that propaganda is designed to benefit the sponsor, not the target!
