d would be complete chaos if there were not some type of government. I did feel that the novel was very violent and brutal, with Simon and Piggy’s death. However I believe that those were two very important incidents that helped to prove Golding’s idea of savagery. I also think that the symbolism in the book was very well portrayed and very much helped with the themes of the novel.
