JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, on the 21st of March 1685. In March of 1700 Bach won a singing scholarship to the Michaeliskirche in Luneburg. When his voice broke, he continued to make music as a violinist and organist and its said that he studied with Georg Bohm another well known organist and composer. In 1750, bachs eyesight became very bad, so he underwent two operations, by a travelling occulist. Both failed leaving him totally blind and affeecting his general health. On the 28th of july, 1750, Johann Sebastien Bach died in Leipzig, aged sixty-five. Today, he is one of the most renowned composers and directors of some of the best music in the world.
