By presenting these women in certain situations we feel sorry for them because things happened to them that are out of their control and it makes us want to change the prejudices in our society. This yearning for change is the primary goal of Feminism. Even though Jan Nigro's women are still vulnerable, they can still make such a strange statement towards the idea of Feminism.
