9/16/03 Today in America some type of crime committed by an elderly person seems to be on the news almost daily. In this essay I will discuss some of the aspects of elderly crime. It would also send the message to the elderly that it is not as bad to commit crime if your over 62. This could lead to major increase in crime associated with the elderly. I believe that if the elderly are not mentally ill then they should be held accountable for their actions in the same way that younger Americans are held accountable.
