Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton was born on the West Indian Island of Nevis on January 11,1757, but research now indicates that he was born at least two years earlier in 1755. He was the son of James Hamilton(1752-99), a Scottish trader, and Rachel Faucett Lavien (1729-69).
