Human or beast, which do you prefer? As humans, we are born with conscience and rationality, which allows us to accomplish extraordinary good, but also extraordinary evil. It may not be as primitive as just food, shelter, etc., but mainly revolves around the struggle for existence which is mainly influenced by love. So to pick either a beast or a human is like saying which do you prefer, food or water? You need both to exist otherwise we wouldn't be who we are.
