spreading of Greek culture and people changes occurred which would not have ordinarily, the social structure of these people effected those they conquered and those they interacted with. Their influence on Europe changed it's people into the modern cultures we see today. If they had not chosen to colonise when they did perhaps now we in Australia would be speaking an entirely different language and living our lives in a different manner than we do.
