Another art movement that transferred from the sixteenth century to the seventeenth century was another art format known as genre art. The clarity and detail seems high at a distance but up close one can see that there is no outline but only pure color applied to the canvas. People are so minute that they will blend directly into the land. The painting projects a sense of spirituality and historical value, but this is not enough to deem it academic.
