The Freudian view on dreams is basically wish fulfillment. For example, a poor person will dream about having lots of money. Freud also made other well known statements, " wish-fulfilling quality of many dreams may not be readily apparent because the true meaning of the dream may be disguised. "(Weiton, 2004) I believe that this statement is very true in relating to my own personal dreams.

I have come to believe that every dream that a person has will have to do with something that they are dealing with personally or going through in life at that time. But that is just one part; the other is a wish fulfillment. I believe that dreams are based a certain situations in a person's life that and how the dream plays out is according to the person's own wish fulfillment for the situation.
