Constitution in 1787. The actual ratification did not occur until 1788. A representative democracy gives people freedom to elect officials they want to represent them. If an official is not doing their job, they can be kicked out of their position.
In conclusion, our Nation would not be able to function if we did not have an outline of how our Nation should run. With the structures, principles and processes of the Constitution, order is easily obtained.
