Plato and Aristotle are both great philosophers in their own regard. Both agree that the world has a purpose, and that it's not just an accident. Both also hate materialists since in their (materialists') interpretation of the world, value, choice, and freedom are not plausible outcomes, and so morality and rationality do not make sense. He prefers to tackle each problem separately, work it out as best as he can, and give an answer. And yet both of them deserve utmost credit for at least one thing: making people think. That is very important, especially in today's society where people prefer to reason things out with guns and fighting instead of thinking of a solution.
