After all of the interviews, and all of the stories, not one character is given the privledge of knowing what the word signifies. In the end we back out of the life and works of Charles Foster Kane the same way we came in, slowly moving back passed a NO TRESPASSING sign, and a locked gate leading to Xanadu. Rosebud.
