Aaron Burr: Traitor or Not Jay Judah On July 11th, 1804, Vice President Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton stood back to back in Weehawken, New Jersey. The two men took ten paces, and turned to face eachother. Alexander Hamilton pointed his pistol straight into the air, and fired, refusing to kill Burr.
