Revolution, really had an impact on the people. The Defarge's were revolutionist who ended up killing the Marquis, the Marquis was an awful ruler who had a corrupted justice system and ruled without listening to the people, and Carton who life was changed and added to hope and recalling of life in the book. If the book did not have the time period on the revolution, then Defarges, Marquis, and Carton would be insignificant.
